Community Pantry

We're pleased to launch a Community Pantry in Civic Square, Launceston.  

A Community Pantry has been installed in Civic Square next to the Police Station allowing people to donate food and personal hygiene items for those in need in our community. 

If you are in need of food or personal hygiene items, please visit the Community Pantry and collect what you need.

 

We welcome donations of:

  • Unopened and undamaged packaged food with clear best before and use-by dates such as unopened packaged snacks, tinned food with ring pulls, packets of pasta or rice, jars of peanut butter, long-life milk, etc
  • Unopened toiletries and sanitary products in their original packaging
  • Food within its use-by dates
  • Food with all original labels clear and undamaged

 

We are unable to accept donations of:

  • Perishable food such as milk, meat, cheese, eggs, etc
  • Baby formula
  • Fuit and vegetables
  • Clothes and shoes
  • Books
  • Electrical items
  • General household items
  • Sharp items such as razors
