St Vincent de Paul Society Tas and the City of Launceston in collaboration with The Salvation Army, Launceston City Mission, Launceston Benevolent Society, Uniting Tas and Shekinah House, present an evening dedicated to the stories of those experiencing poverty, homelessness and despair.

Join us at 6.30pm on Wednesday, 16 October, in the Rory Spence Lecture Theatre at the UTAS Inveresk Campus, to hear the stories through video interviews of members of our community impacted by low income, the cost of living and the struggles of being homeless. Listen to a panel discussion of the difficulties support workers face and join in the audience discussion.

Then, sit back and enjoy the feature film “Rosie”. A story of a woman, her husband and their four children who find themselves homeless after their landlord sells their house. Over the next 36 hours, the couple desperately search for a place to live while trying to shield the kids from the reality of the situation.

Admission is $15 per person.
