Homelessness Week: Walk to Raise Awareness 2024

 The St Vincent de Paul Society is once again hosting a Walk to raise awareness for Homelessness week this year.

The walk will be held on Wednesday the 7^th of August commencing a 10:30am at the City Park Rotunda. The walk will finish at Royal Park where Vinnies Van, City Mission Snag Chat Van and the Salvation Army will be able to serve participants coffee, soup and sausages.

A key element of the Society's work is advocacy for community members experiencing times of hardship including homelessness. This advocacy is not only done on a local level, but nationally and internationally.

It is important for local community members to become involved and join us, alongside many other community organisations, as we cannot solve this issue alone, it will take community groups, local government, community members and businesses to come together with a holistic approach and collaborate to achieve a common goal for the community.
