Upper York Service Street Reconstruction
The City of Launceston will be reconstructing the road on Upper York Service Street. The current failing pavers will be removed and replaced with an asphalt road surface.
In preparation for these works, TasWater are completing a water main renewal in the area.
The upcoming reconstruction works include:
- Removal of pavers and existing road base
- Installation of new structural road base layers
- Renewal of stormwater pits
- Replacement of kerb and channel
- Application of asphalt road seal
- Reinstatement of footpath.
Construction will be undertaken by Pro Kerb Tasmania.

Road Closure and Residential Access
Upper York Service Street will be closed to vehicle traffic for the duration of the works due to the road's narrow width and the depth of the excavation. This closure will remain in place outside of working hours and on weekends.
Our contractors will liaise directly with affected residents to assist with property access.
Pedestrian access will remain available throughout the works.
