Neika Avenue Stormwater Works

The City of Launceston will be installing a new stormwater drainage line on a section of Neika Avenue, between Duke Street and Thistle Street West. This upgrade is required to capture stormwater discharge from No. 52 and No. 54 Neika Avenue.

A small trench will be cut in the road from No. 52 Neika Avenue to No. 84 Thistle Street West for the installation of a new pipe.

Works will be undertaken by Paneltec on behalf of City of Launceston. 

*Please note that scheduling may change due to unforeseen circumstances or weather conditions. 

Neika Avenue will be closed between Duke Street and Thistle Street West each day from 7am to 4.30pm to ensure the works are carried out safely and efficiently.  Traffic controllers will be onsite to assist residents with property access.

Please take care while moving through the area and follow traffic management to ensure your safety and the safety of contractors.
