Have your say on Music in the Park
Published on 18 February 2022
The City of Launceston's 2022 Music in the Park program will conclude this Sunday afternoon with a performance from the Launceston City Band.
Music in the Park is a free concert series held in Launceston's City Park on Sundays throughout summer, and has this year featured performances from Apache, the West Tamar Municipal Band, St Andrews Caledonian Pipe Band, the Tassie Tenor and BeatStreet.
As the event winds up for another year, the City of Launceston is seeking feedback from patrons to better understand what they enjoy about Music in the Park, how it might be improved and opportunities for the future.
Launceston Mayor Albert van Zetten encouraged people who had attended past Music in the Park events to provide their input.
"Music in the Park is an event that has stood the test of time but we're eager to hear any ideas for improvement, or to find out if people like the event just the way it is," Mayor van Zetten said.
"I hope people come along on Sunday for the final Music in the Park performance from the Launceston City Band.
"If you've never been before, Music in the Park is free of charge and held in Launceston's majestic City Park from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.
"Bring a chair, bring a picnic rug, and spend a summer afternoon in Launceston hearing from some wonderful local music talent."
The survey on Music in the Park can be found here and will close at 5pm on Friday, March 4, 2022.
