CITY OF LAUNCESTON

ELECTION CANDIDATE INFORMATION SESSION

Wednesday, September 5, from 5.30-6.30pm

Town Hall Reception Room

The City of Launceston will host an information session for announced and prospective council candidates in the lead-up to the 2018 Local Government Elections.

General Manager Michael Stretton will outline the council's current strategy, business and focus.

This session will be of interest for people interested in running for an elected position on the City of Launceston council.

Information on the upcoming election calendar for potential candidates will be available as a hand-out, including candidate handbooks produced by the Tasmanian Electoral Commission.

Tea and coffee will be provided.

The General Manager and Council Officers will also be available to answer any questions after the session.

Nominations for the 2018 Local Government Elections open on Monday, September 10 and close on Monday, September 24.
