Carlton FC to cross the Bass Strait

Hawthorn will host Carlton in a pre-season night match at University of Tasmania Stadium early next year.
The AFL released its full schedule of the JLT Community Series this morning.
The Hawks will play the Blues in Launceston on Saturday, March 10 at 7.05pm during week three of the competition.
The match will be another home-coming for Carlton coach and former North Launceston midfielder Brendon Bolton, who is in his third year in charge of the Blues.
For the rebuilding Hawks, it will be the first opportunity for Tasmanian fans to potentially see Port Adelaide recruit Jarman Impey in action after be moved to the Hawks in the recent 2017 trade window.
Impey, who won the Gavin Wanganeen Medal as Port Adelaide's best under-21 player in 2016, played 75 games for Port over four seasons.
Ticketing information for the Launceston match will be announced soon.
Entry to all Hawthorn JLT Community Series matches is free for 2018 members (subject to availability).
The full 2018 home-and-away fixture will be released next Tuesday, October 31.
