Australian Musical Theatre Festival program launch

Launceston Mayor Danny Gibson has congratulated the organisers of the Australian Musical Theatre Festival on the launch of the event's 2023 program.

The Australian Musical Theatre Festival will be held from Wednesday May 17 to Sunday May 21 2023 in various locations around Launceston. 

The event's 2023 program was launched today at Launceston's Princess Theatre, with highlights including Rachael Beck, Todd McKenney and Elenoa Rokobaro.

"How exciting that Australia's premiere Musical Theatre Festival is just around the corner - and here in Launceston," Mayor Gibson said.

"The Australian Musical Theatre Festival is an exceptional opportunity for musical theatre lovers, makers and industry professionals to gather, share and celebrate everything good about theatre.

"The City of Launceston is very proud to support this event - as it has done since its inception - particularly given the love affair our community has with music and theatre.

"As a member of the musical theatre community myself, here in our buoyant city, I cannot wait to welcome visitors and locals alike to savour the incredible diversity of the 2023 program."
