The information below is for warnings, outages and interruptions to key services and facilities operated by City of Launceston.

Current interruptions

Duck Reach Walking Track: temporary closure

A contractor has been engaged to replace seven sets of stairs above the Duck Reach Power station. Works will involve removing current stairs with a helicopter, renewing the stair landings and then bringing in new staircases with a helicopter. As of Monday, the 1st of July to the 28th of July the track from the power station to Trevallyn Reserve will be closed for the works to be undertaken.

Cataract Gorge Inclinator: temporary closure

We're currently experiencing a temporary closure of the Cataract Gorge Inclinator due to a mechanical fault. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience as we work to get the Inclinator operational again.
