Immunisations

The City of Launceston offers FREE vaccinations at schools each year and regular immunisation clinics to protect the community from a number of diseases. This program is for funded vaccines according to the National Immunisation Schedule, refer to the Immunisation Schedule tab for more information.

Immunisation Clinics
We offer regular vaccination clinics at the following locations.

Town Hall 
St John Street, Launceston
10.00am to 11.00am Wednesdays (excluding public holidays)

Ravenswood Child and Family Learning Centre
8 Prossers Forest Road, Ravenswood
9.30am to 10.00am on the second Tuesday of each month (excluding public holidays)
This clinic does not operate in January. 

muylatina Child and Family Learning Centre
30B Hargrave Crescent, Mayfield
11.00am to 11.30am on the second Tuesday of each month (excluding public holidays)
This clinic does not operate in January

Bookings
Bookings are now essential for all clinics and can be made via the link below.
Please note the clinic location when making a booking.

Important Information:

  • Please ensure you bring your Medicare Card along to the Immunisation Clinic.
  • We ask that parents and guardians, where possible, only bring the person requiring vaccination. Please do not bring friends or other family members such as grandparents. You are welcome to bring an interpreter to the clinic.
  • If the person requiring vaccination is unwell, do not attend the clinic until you have fully recovered. 
  • Please prepare for longer wait times while the clinic is busy.
  • If the child to be immunised has received vaccinations in a country other than Australia, please submit a copy of the records before attending a clinic and our staff will contact you. This can be done in person at our Customer Service Centre or by emailing us at contactus@launceston.tas.gov.au
